Recipe

Good Punch!

Ingredients

6 cups water
4 cups sugar
24 oz frozen orange juice
46 oz Pineapple juice
1/2 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice
5-6 gently ripe bananas
6 quarts 7UP.

Directions

Boil 6 cups water and 4 cups sugar for three minutes. Add the orange, pineapple and lemon juices. Mash 5-6 gently ripe bananas in a blender. Swirl into the the water, juice and sugar mixture and freeze. I freeze most of this in a container the size of my punch bowl. Then when it begins to thaw, hours before my party, I cut it into hunks and can slip it easily into the bowl. Then add 6 qts of 7UP.

Of course, for a smaller gathering, you can freeze this punch base in smaller portions and add 7UP accordingly.

You can freeze enough to fill a salad ring glass or metal pan. Then add frozen ring after the 7UP is in the bowl with the cut up frozen punch for about 30 minutes. It keeps the punch nice and cold.

This treat is easy to make ahead, freeze up to 4 months and add the fizzy at the last minute. I don't have a name for it. It's just Good Punch!
