Recipe

Camp's Double Chocolate Rebels

Ingredients

2 C butter or margarine
2 Tsp vanilla
2 C sugar
2 Eggs
2 C oats
3 C flour
1 T baking soda
1 T salt
12 T chocolate cocoa
Lots of chocolate chips

Directions

Mix all ingredients.

Drop spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for about 7-9 minutes. (Don't overbake.)

Pour yourself a glass of cold milk! These chocolaty cookies are an easy treat for kids and adults alike. These freeze well, but don't expect them to last that long! Camp Arcadia in Arcadia, Michigan, has a fabulous chef, Kurt Harvey. For twelve years, I've helped out with women's retreats there, and all of us appreciate Kurt's contribution to our weekends. He creates much of his culinary splash "from scratch"...homemade breads, soups, and cookies. He also supports local farmers who provide fresh fruits and vegetables, even some meats It's fun to share some of that with you.
