Ted Baehr

Ted Baehr is the founder and publisher of Movieguide. He is a noted critic, educator, lecturer, and spokesperson on media and its influence on society. He has attended numerous academic institutions including Dartmouth, Cambridge, the University of Munich, New York University School of Law, and Belhaven University. He is the author of several books. Among these are The Amazing Grace of Freedom: The Inspiring Faith of William Wilberforce, Narnia Beckons: C. S. Lewis's The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe - and Beyond, What Can We Watch Tonight?, Faith in God and Generals : An Anthology of Faith, Hope, and Love in the America and The Christian Family Guide to Movies & Video, vols. I and II.

Baehr was president of the organization that produced The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe for CBS in 1980, boasting 37 million viewers and winning an Emmy Award. Baehr has produced hundreds of programs for PBS television. He is also chairman of the Christian Film & Television Commission, a non-profit organization, which is the only active liaison between studio executives and the general public for issues of family entertainment and faith.

Baehr is married and has four children.
