Jenneane Musegades and Elaine Dumler

Featured on Woman to Woman on May 29, 2010.

Jenneane Musegades is an attorney who has practiced in Colorado, California, Illinois, and Missouri. She took her law degree from the University of Denver in 1987. Her work along the way has been varied. She has worked as a patrol deputy, investigator, hostage negotiator SWAT, and been on the vice and narcotics units. Today she is an associate at the firm of Paul H. Lauber in Edwardsville, Illinois, handling estate planning and probate concerns. Her husband, Michael, is retired from the Navy and currently attends Concordia Seminary in St. Louis. He is studying for his masters of divinity degree. They have two daughters, Michele and Lila.

Elaine Dumler educates through speaking. As the owner of Frankly Speaking, she helps others imbue style and craftsmanship into their business presentations. Through presentation-skill training and video-coaching workshops, she has worked with organizations like General Electric, Johnson & Johnson, and the U.S. government.
Dumler's clients take her around the globe. Recognizing how stressful separation can be (her husband served in the Army National Guard between 1969 and 1975), she was inspired by what military families face with sustained absences. In her book, I'm Already Home: Keeping Your Family Close When You're on TDY, she created a book to help families discover ways to stay connected and in constant communication when they are apart. In her latest book, I'm Already Home...Again - Keeping your family close while on assignment or deployment, she adds 150 new ideas, resources, stories, and expanded chapters on reunion, reintegration, pets and deployments, and how communities, schools, and extended families can help.
Bringing her message and methods of family unity to military families throughout the country, Dumler has been featured in print, television, and radio media. Her message is centered on keeping family ties strong and employing connection strategies to make that happen. Committed to helping service families at home and abroad, Dumler has been traveling to military installations and family-readiness conferences to share her insights. She wants to make sure every American deployed or on temporary assignment has the means available to be in the closest contact possible with their loved ones at home.
Dumler has been presented with 11 different Military Challenge Coins to honor her work with families.
