Dr. Linda Mintle

Dr. Linda Mintle is an assistant professor of clinical pediatrics in the Department of Pediatrics at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk. Previous faculty appointments include Wheaton College's Graduate Psychology Department, Regent University's School of Psychology and Counseling, the Department of Psychiatry at Eastern Virginia Medical School, and the University of South Florida's Florida Mental Health Institute.

Mintle has authored numerous articles and sixteen books. Her latest effort is "Press Pause Before You Eat". Other books include "Lose It For Life", "Making Peace With Your Thighs", "Raising Healthy Kids In An Unhealty World", "I Married You, Not Your Family", and the "Breaking Free" series - six books covering the topics of stress, anger, depression, anorexia and bulimia, compulsive overeating, and negative self-image.

Mintle received her doctorate in urban health services and clinical psychology from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.. Her master's degree in social work is from Western Michigan University.

Mintle has been married for 35 years and is the mother of two.
