Betty Duda served as an elementary school teacher at St. Luke's Lutheran School in Oviedo, Fla. Affiliated with many community, education and business boards, as well as being vice chairperson on the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod's Board of Directors, she has established her influence in numerous arenas. She has also served as the national president of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML), as president of the Florida-Georgia District of the LWML and has been a member of the Lutheran Hour Ministries Foundation. Duda has written articles, given speeches and led retreats in the U.S. and around the world.
